We've embarked on a year abroad, teaching conversational English in Seoul, South Korea. We hope that this blog will be a way family and friends can follow our travels and keep in touch.
This place we live in
With less than two months in Korea to go, we've finally made an effort to see other parts of the city. This intersection centrepiece is Namdaemun Gate, which was burned to the ground in 2008. Its name means, literally, "Gate of Exalted Ceremonies", or the "Great Southern Gate".
